Josh is finally home for good!

This past Saturday we went to Motorama in Harrisburg. It's a huge event with different motor events that include robot wars, motorcycle and 4 wheelers races, go carts races, RC races, tunerwars, and a car show. We all had a great time watching each of the events. Ian loved riding the school bus to and from the parking lot. I know he'll love riding the school bus once he goes to kindergarten. Here are a few pics from the day:

Today was the first Monday since Christmas Josh was able to go to work in the morning and come home to have dinner and spend the night with us. It's very exciting! Up until now, we've only seen him a day or two on weekends or when we went down to Hellertown and stayed with my parents during the week. I'm very thankful to have him home with us!

Ian's first time out on a snowboard

Ian and I braved the cold and wind yesterday so he could try out his new snowboard he got for Valentine's Day. We only had about two inches of snow, but it was worth watching Ian try this new sport!

A relaxing weekend with the family

This past weekend was Valentine's Day weekend. My parents came up to visit us. Their main purpose was to watch Ian so Josh and I could go on a date, but we really didn't feel the need to go out. Since Josh isn't able to be home most of the time, he wanted to spend the weekend at home. I agreed! We made delicious Delmonico steaks, roasted oven potatoes, and a green bean dish. For dessert, I made truffle brownies topped with cherries and chocolate sauce. The morning of Valentine's Day we went to a state park near by for their Winter Fest. Well, since our warm spell melted most of the snow away they didn't have most of the activities going on, but they did have crafts with the Girl Scouts, ice fishing information, a maple syrup demo, winter bird watching and tree identification. Ian's favorite part was walking on the frozen lake with Josh and Grandpa. Today he asked if he could go walk on the ice again!
As you can assume we are still unpacking boxes and sorting through things. Well, my parents were a huge help on Sunday as we brought lots of boxes in for me to go through and sort out. Our house looked a little empty since we didn't have pictures up or personal things, but now it's beginning to look like "our" house. We were able to move the bedroom furniture into our bedroom...that means we don't have to live out of baskets anymore and we have more than a weeks worth of clothes. I still don't have too much since I'm wearing maternity, but at least Josh doesn't need to wear the same things every week.

Tomorrow I go to my OBGYN for another appointment. I believe this is the last monthly appt. and then it's on to every two weeks. You know what that means....I'm getting closer!!! It's very exciting to think about having another baby. I've been buying clothes and getting things ready. I know I still have another 2 and a half months, but really it's not that long when you think about it. Time has flown by so far and I'm sure then next year will be a whirlwind.

Well, Ian and I have story time in the morning so I need to get my rest.

Have a good night:)

The End is Near!

For the past month and a half Josh has been a saint. He's been driving down to Hellertown to work during the week and traveling back up to Wellsboro on the weekends (sometime having to work, so he doesn't even have an entire weekend with us. But we try to make the most of it when he is here). It's been tough for all of us, but I know it's been the hardest on him since he's away from me and Ian. I have Ian here to keep me company and busy. Well, during the last week and a half Josh has been working his butt off to help move GTT to the new location. That also means thats Josh will soon be home with us. We are all excited to be a full time family again...This part time stuff isn't so great! This also means that we can continue to work on the house to make it our own.

I'm thankful that Josh and I have parents and family that support and love us. Ian and I were going crazy at that new house. Mostly because of the snow and cold weather that prevented us from getting out. So on a whim, we decided to take a trip down to Hellertown for visits with friends and family. We (Myself, Josh, and Ian) took over my sis's room. Thanks Vanessa! The best things were having my husband around, seeing Ian happy playing at the grandparents homes, and being able to spent time with our family and friends...something we haven't really had time to do with the move. We even had 50 degree weather, which was awesome!

I guess I'm just happy that things are going well and that we are all healthy (except for a runny nose or two).
