Easter

We spent Easter down in Hellertown. We were able to visit with both sides and it turned out to be a beautiful warm weekend!
There aren't as many pictures as I would have hoped..the computer is giving me some problems today. I'd like to thank Uncle Ed for sending some pictures my way ;)

The sun was a little too much for the boys..they aren't very happy!

Nathan was the first one out to find his goodies.
Ian had no problem with finding everything!!

Nathan's first rice crispy treat..yum! Don't turn your back Uncle Dave...Ian's got his eye on your bike..haha

Aunt Linette and Ian....and a really, really big chocolate bunny!

Wow!

What a week!!

It's been a busy one for us!

Last Friday I went away with the girls to a friends cabin in Troy, PA. I was childless for the first time in who knows how long. It was a fun time with the girls!!

This was the view from the cabin..amazing!

On the way down the mountain we passed a few of the windmills and I had to take a picture. They are massive!

While I was away our friend Brian came up with his kids. They were here until Saturday night. Ian had such a great time with them. They went bike riding on the trail and drove around the area. When I got home they were running around the house like crazy kids ;)

On Sunday Josh started to tile the kitchen floor and worked until 2 or 3 am, but needed to stop since we didn't want to disturb our neighbors or get a visit from the police. He finished the cutting of the tiles on Monday morning.

I don't think I posted a picture of the finished dining room. We took out the window facing the breezeway, removed the wood paneling, did lots of drywall, painted, added the chair rail, refinished the floors (I'm sure I'm forgetting something). I made the curtains for the windows in dining room and kitchen and I still need to recover the chairs. I would love to add a corner hutch and will be adding family pictures on the wall. Always a work in progress ;)

This picture shows the backer board with the seams cemented together. I even helped with this job!
Great work Josh!!!The floor without the grout and looking wonderful!! The wire sticking up will be covered by the island.
While we waited for the tiles to set, we took a trip to the mall to get Ian's t-ball equipment. He really only needs a mitt, but we got him a real bat and some balls to practice. He starts practice next Tuesday! The Easter Bunny was at the mall so we paid him a visit and Nathan absolutely loved him! He giggled and giggled. We got a cute picture of the boys together.

On Tuesday we went to playgroup and had a blast at the bunny brunch. The kids played, did crafts, participated in an egg hunt, and then we had brunch together. (I'll have to load some pictures in another post once I load them to the computer)

On Wednesday morning we went to story time. The librarian read some cute books about Easter. The kids made a lamb puppet and then found eggs filled with chocolate.

This morning we skipped MOPS and took advantage of the beautiful weather. We played outside on the swings and with outside toys. Tonight we took our first family walk/ride on the trail. Ian rode his bike and Nathan was in the backpack. (Again, I will post pictures later)

Josh will be grouting the kitchen tiles tomorrow. It will be so nice to have the kitchen back and cook real meals! We really didn't expect to be doing this so soon. I was thinking a few years from now, but it just worked out this way. I have to say it does make a big difference. Our next project in the kitchen will be to reface the cabinets and replace the hardware.

We will be spending Easter weekend with our families. It will be wonderful to catch up and enjoy some time with everyone.

HAPPY EASTER!
